The New Year traditions differ from country to country. For instance, in Hungary winter holidays boost sales of books, warm socks, mittens, and sleds. Children make cute presents for adults. For this same holiday Dutch children get small packets of sweets and pasties, which – according to an ancient legend – are being brought by the Magi and are hidden into their footwear.
