This year Cape Town florists were seriously concerned with their reduced incomes from flower sales in the most profitable day of the year – Saint Valentine’s Day. And the problem was that the road to the parliament, where the president had decided to deliver an address on February, 14, leads to the biggest flower market in the city. The blocked road caused the inevitable customer attrition.
