Paradise bird of Los Angeles

An unusual flower blossoming out on the tree called Strelitzia was recognized as an official flower symbol of Los Angeles. Strelitzia blooms out early in the spring, and pleases with its fiery-red flowers, which look like paradise birds. That is why people have named this exotic flower, originating from South Africa, as a paradise bird.
